Catherine Capetillo
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Supervised by Charlotte Judd, LPC-S

I have always had a passion for helping others. However, I struggled to find purpose and meaning within myself, my relationships, and my career when those around me appeared to have it all together. I felt left behind and inadequate based on societal timelines and standards, but these ideas of where I thought I “should” be were actually hindering my true potential. It was through my own work in therapy that I learned I was a bit of a late bloomer… and that’s ok! Taking the time to grow at my own pace and work on self-discovery helped me become a happier and healthier person. Self-awareness and growth can be challenging; I believe my experiences help me understand others who are also searching for more within themselves and I am here to help.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I receive comprehensive supervision under the direction of Charlotte Judd, LPC-S. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I am an avid reader and consider myself a life-long learner. In my free time, I love to travel, experiment with new foods in the kitchen, and spend time with family and friends.

As a counselor, I primarily work with young adults and adults experiencing a broad range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, identity and self-esteem, life transitions, spirituality, career issues, trauma, sexuality, and grief and loss. I believe counseling is a collaborative process unique to each individual client. I take a holistic approach to wellness, utilizing a variety of techniques to meet the needs of my clients and provide support throughout the therapeutic journey. I offer a safe, compassionate, judgement-free space for you to be yourself as you grow, while empowering you to achieve the change you desire.
