Catherine Capetillo
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Supervised by Charlotte Judd, LPC-S

I have always had a passion for helping others. However, I struggled to find purpose and meaning within myself, my relationships, and my career when those around me appeared to have it all together. I felt left behind and inadequate based on societal timelines and standards, but these ideas of where I thought I “should” be were actually hindering my true potential. It was through my own work in therapy that I learned I was a bit of a late bloomer… and that’s ok! Self-awareness and growth can be challenging; I believe my experiences help me understand others who are also searching for more within themselves and I am here to help.

As a counselor, I primarily work with young adults and adults experiencing a broad range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, identity and self-esteem, life transitions, spirituality, career issues, trauma, and grief and loss. I specifically take an interest in working with individuals who do not believe they are meeting life milestones (late bloomers), medical professionals, and those who are interested in starting counseling for the fist time. I believe counseling is a collaborative process unique to each individual client. I take a holistic approach to wellness, utilizing a variety of techniques to meet the needs of my clients and provide support throughout the therapeutic journey. I offer a safe, compassionate, judgement-free space for you to be yourself as you grow, while empowering you to achieve the change you desire.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I receive comprehensive supervision under the direction of Charlotte Judd, LPC-S. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I am an avid reader and consider myself a life-long learner. In my free time, I love to travel, experiment with new foods in the kitchen, and spend time with family and friends.
