Supervision

When looking for a Supervisor keep in mind two things: experience and knowledge. You will want someone who has both. 3,000 hours may seem like a lot but it will go fast and you have a lot to experience and learn. 

I have been working in the field of mental health since December 2006, which as of this writing in December 2022 I have 16 years of experience in a variety of settings. My professional settings include: rape crisis and domestic violence, child and adolescent, adult parole and probation, and adult mental health. I have worked with the homeless population in Harris county and have worked with individuals who are frequently hospitalized due to severe mental illness. I opened my own practice in October 2018 and I primarily focus on trauma, chronic illness, and grief. I am certified to provide Cognitive Processing Therapy to those with PTSD. I will become a trained EMDR therapist in January 2023. What does this mean to you as an LPC-Associate? Good question. It means I have thousands of hours of work completed and hundreds of Clients treated. I am looking to share my experience with LPC-Associates who are excited to help people.
